Another World-Class Event at the Legendary Treehouse in Newtown Square!

Many thanks to CLIVE CARROLL for a great workshop to kick off the DVFGA 2019 Spring Season!

Friday September 6th at 8 PM Shane treated us to an Up--Close Concert!  He routinely sells out concert halls in Dublin -- He plays with the likes of Tommy Emmanuel -- he helped Riverdance get their music together -- and here he was, in the best little listening room around, playing for us!

Seamus Kelleher opened the show with his amazing range and energy.  Shane featured tunes from his second CD "Marrakech" (HIGHLY recommended!) plus a beautiful selection of jazz and fingerstyle classics.   It was another night to remember!

Hi Friends,

Why settle for silly old oom-pah-pah?

We've got a very special bit of old-timey swing

This Saturday Sept 28 1-3 PM

at La Cabra in Berwyn.

I rounded up my old band Flyin' Home, a bunch of great musicians who could play anything, but are bent on getting that great old swing combo sound of the Benny Goodman Quintet with a little gypsy jazz ala Django Reinhardt.  I guarantee we'll make mistakes, and no solo will last more than 60 seconds.  The Pennsylvania Polka MAY be attempted.

We'll all be outside (I hope the weather is as spectacular as it has been the rest of this month) and la Cabra will be celebrating Oktoberfest for the rest of afternoon with beer and traditional german food, I think.   Certainly a Marzen will be pouring, in addition to their amazing IPA's.  Free admission, pay as you go.

I'd love to see you and I think it will be fun!
